they had numerous signs up showing the
reconstruction of the gardens to the state they were in the late 1700's -
apparently the gardens had essentially been abandoned since then and allowed to
go their own way but in 1999 a large storm blew through and knocked down a wide
section of mature trees. They decided to restore to the original
configuration - which should be interesting in a decade or so
