Happy MLK Day! A three day weekend leads to: Workshop design thoughts

Atherton Loring Jr., 1906

Frank W. Benson, American. 1862-1951. “One of the leaders of the so-called Boston School, Frank Benson specialized in figural subjects posed in idealized interiors and outdoor settings. The bucolic background in this painting is the artist’s invention. Six year old Atherton Loring Jr. from Duxbury, MA, recalled how he posed for Benson in his Boston studio where he was seated on a wooden kitchen chair.” – Worcester Art Museum
